Estimating Accuracy
The single most important component to a successful, stress-free move is an accurate and complete estimate. This survey is the foundation for what will occur on moving day. Your Blackhawk Moving and Storage estimator is required to record, on the Table of Measurements, exactly what you intend to move. Without a copy of the Table of Measurements, you do not have a valid quotation. Some estimators will create an "outline" of what you will be moving instead of the detailed list: BE AWARE!

The Interstate Commerce Commission mandates by law that a binding estimate covers only the quantities and service indicated on the Table of Measurements and not what you told the estimator, nor what you intended to take. READ THE FINE PRINT.

Enough equipment–i.e., pads, boxes, protective materials to properly protect items, etc.

Overflow–two trucks required, off loading and delays result.
Driver may refuse shipment or only load listed items–grumbling all the way.
Loading until late at night due to lack of space (jigsaw puzzle effect) and not enough help.
Incomplete packing and high damage due to insufficient space and material.
Additional cost will likely occur on delivery day.

The choice of the right movers will make the difference on moving day. Moving is stressful enough without complicating matters by selecting a quotation that has been carelessly or deceptively formulated.
